The foundation’s Patrons are The Lord Sarfraz and The Lady Sarfraz.
Lord Sarfraz is a Member of the House of Lords, the upper house of United Kingdom Parliament. He took his seat as Baron Sarfraz, of Kensington in the Royal London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in September 2020. He was previously a Treasurer of the Conservative Party, and an advisor to the party leadership on Outreach. On his appointment, at the age of 38, he was the 3rd youngest Peer in the United Kingdom Parliament.
Lord Sarfraz’s business career has included roles in venture capital, private equity and as an agribusiness entrepreneur. He was named to Silicon Valley Business Journal’s “40 under 40” list, and received the 9th Emerging Leader Award by M&A Advisor.
Lord Sarfraz's current voluntary boards include at Texas A&M University (International Advisory Board), Boston University Pardee School (Dean's Advisory Board), Panthera (Conservation Council) and WWF Pakistan (Board of Governors).
The Lady Sarfraz is a former investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) at HSBC in London. At HSBC she advised on M&A transactions in banking, asset management, private equity and insurance in Europe and the Middle East. She is a graduate of University College London.
