Child Facilitation Centers

Under the Community Mother Program, initiated by RPL, NetZero-AG, Mars, and The Lord Sarfraz Foundation, our goal is to create a safe shelter and foster a healthy environment for the children of rice trans-planters. This collaborative effort aims to protect these children from the dangers of child labor, ensuring they receive proper care and education instead. By providing a nurturing environment, we aim to empower these young individuals, offering them opportunities for growth and a brighter future.

On July 2024, In Narowal (Village Bhago Dayal), we recently conducted a workshop focusing on body safety and raising awareness about child abuse. Students learned about recognizing the difference between good and bad touch. They actively participated in group activities where they prepared presentations and engaged in discussions about these important topics. Our aim is to empower children with the knowledge they need to stay safe and understand their rights, creating a supportive environment where every child feels protected.

We have established over 60 free health camps in Southern Punjab and Sindh, and treated over 30,000 patients. Conditions include insect bites, scabies, dehydration, rashes, malaria, maternal health problems, child malnutrition, cholera, skin allergies, gastroenteritis, eye infection and injuries.

Purpose of the program is to provide safe shelter and healthy environment to the children of rice transplanters. The main stakeholders for effective program results included community mothers (teachers), children of rice transplanters and parents of those children.

• Children who participated in the program kept away from the child labor i.e assisting their parents in rice transplantation.
• Both centers were equipped with well-educated and trained community mothers (teachers).
• Clothes, shoes, school bags, sports items (bat ball, football) and toys were given to each child.
• Quality food, snacks, milk and fruits were given to each child once in a day throughout the program.
• Clean and cold drinking water facility was also available in both centres throughout the program.
• The centres were furnished with carpets, educational charts, furniture, white board, air cooler, electric generator.
• Medical treatment was also given to the children who were sick.
